After a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula where we had the best churros I’d ever eaten from a simple street vendor, I had been on a hunt for good churros in Salt Lake City. We didn’t have much luck finding good ones, so I thought I’d try to make some at home. These turned out pretty good, and I liked being able to control the amount of cinnamon and sugar on them. They were a little bit heavy but still pretty darn good! Next time I’d use a lighter dough with fewer eggs. I had a friend come over to eat them, and my family ate some, too. Churros are traditional in Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and many other countries.
