A favorite bakery of mine in San Francisco is Miette Bakery in the Ferry Building near Fisherman’s Wharf. I almost always get a chocolate cupcake with mocha buttercream there, but their cookies are really good as well. We bought the Miette cookbook and have made several recipes that have been amazing. These chocolate chip walnut cookies have ground toasted walnuts that give it a nutty flavor, and oats make them crumbly. I grounded the walnuts a little too much, so you couldn’t really get that nutty texture, but you could still taste it. They are a delicious crispy-crunchy cookie like none other.
