Thanksgiving for my family is a time to make copious amounts of food and eat said copious amounts of food. Typically, my parents will invite many people to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at our house, from international graduate students to friends of me and my sister, anyone who doesn’t have a place to eat on this day. Because of COVID, however, we weren’t able to do that. Instead, we had a small masked gathering of my family, and my sister’s boyfriend and mom. Still, we made copious amounts of food, and being the person I am, I volunteered to make dinner rolls. I recently spotted a buttery potato dinner roll recipe on the instagram of @fullproofbaking, and I had to try it out.
I proceeded with the recipe, subbing orange sweet potato for the mashed potato. The rolls rose beautifully, and I baked them up. Fresh, soft, tender rolls fit for a turkey feast!
